Two actors.

Same casting.

One role.

The other actor books it…again.

How often do you get to this point and not book the job?ra Technical hop

Actor

One factor is that actors don’t use the monitor to their advantage and they end up having a flat audition.

Few actors understand how valuable the monitor can be when they’re going for a real, engaged audition

experience. Why? Because most on-camera technique classes just don’t focus on it.

I have trained and taught with some amazing film directors, directors of photography and casting directors

who focused on what actors need to know about working on camera. By understanding how your audition

reads technically, you are able to transform a one-dimensional “satisfactory” audition into a three-dimensional

unforgettable” audition.

This is not an acting class in the sense of learning new theory or methods. It’s about taking your existing acting

and cold reading technique and effectively adjusting it to your advantage in an on-camera medium. Class will

be spent working scripts on camera. Each week you will leave with a videotape of your work.

You will take away new skills to implement right away, the very next time you are on camera. Some of the

things focused on are how to:

· Strengthen your presence on camera - by learning how to use your whole body, even in a close up

· Create an environment larger than the monitor - by incorporating the world off camera into your work

· Reveal yourself more fully - by using your eye-line to establish relationships

· Add dimension to you work - by using all 4 corners of the monitor

There will be an immediate difference in your work. See it for yourself!

The session is 6 weeks long and held at The Pilot Light Stages, 6902 Santa Monica Boulevard, L.A., starting:

Mondays 2-5pm (starts April 19)     or     Tuesdays 7-10pm (starts April 20)

Class size is limited to 12. Cost of the class is $250. All levels.
